Eden…. It conjures up images of a tranquil oasis, of leafy gardens with paradisiacal views and serene calm. But I imagine being trapped in a garden with one man and a talking snake for a thousand years was anything but peaceful and fully expect Eve was throwing apples at Adam, not trying to get him to eat one!
Luckily for us, ‘girl power’ now means that we don’t have to be trapped anywhere with anyone we don’t want to and we are free to travel and roam to our hearts desire, and basically do whatever we want!
As Easter approaches, the girls and I were talking about a mid-week getaway and naturally, the subject of swimwear came up. I have my eye on the new EDEN range this year, especially the new underwired bikini and kimono and of course, my usual bandeau swimsuit. There is also a strap suit in this print but I prefer the bandeau personally.
In honour of my new favourite swim collection, I wanted to share my other, non-swimwear related Eden favourites with you in case you are planning a trip, doing some shopping or searching for a spa. So here, in no particular order, are my faves:
Eden Perfumes | https://www.edenperfumes.co.uk/
I love perfume – it is always something I put on my wishlists for birthdays, Christmas and anniversaries and of course, spend any free time at the airport wandering duty free and testing them all out. Apologies to whoever has to sit next to me on the plane as it is likely I am wearing at least 15 different scents!
I am always a little concerned about what might be in my perfumes. What am I actually spraying onto my skin? Sure, it smells great, but what are those chemicals doing to my skin?
At Eden Perfumes, the scents are vegan and not tested on animals and contain more natural ingredients. Also, the bottles are refillable so once you run out, you pop back to the store and top up so saving money as well as the environment! Win win. Another exciting feature is that you can match (almost identically) to your current favourite perfume so you don’t have to sacrifice your preferred scent to be an eco warrior.
Eden Project, Cornwall | https://www.edenproject.com/
A great day out, with or without the kids and well worth a trip to Cornwall! Here, a huge biodome houses the largest captive rainforest in the world and is home to exciting concerts, events and exhibitions year round not to mention the longest zip wire in England.
It also now boasts the National Wildflower Centre who are ‘bringing wildflowers back’ by devising new programmes to reverse ecological decline.
There is so much to do here to fit in a couple of paragraphs so head over to their website (link above) for more information and plan a UK staycation this year in this most picturesque part of the world.
Eden Collection Jewellery by Kiki McDonough
OK, so this is definitely a WISH LIST item but I am in love with the Eden Blue Topaz & Diamond Flower Drop Earrings in white gold. So so pretty. Keep on wishing.
Such beautiful necklaces, bracelets and earrings in simple, elegant designs and stunning colours. A perfect gift for any big anniversaries coming up or when someone really needs a treat!
Eden Channel | https://eden.uktv.co.uk/
This is a recent find in our house. We are big fans of Planet Earth and Blue Planet type shows (as long as there are no snakes) so we just love a whole channel dedicated to nature and science with our hero, David Attenborough featuring often.
Eden Hall Day Spa | https://www.edenspa.co.uk/
Here at Seaspray, we love a spa! Located near Newark, Nottinghamshire, it is well worth a visit. I guarantee you will want to return again and again.
With a twilight spa package starting at £45, it is great value for money and offers a wonderful escape from the world to enjoy some rest and relaxation, treatments including massages and facials using all your favourite Elemis products.
So there you have it, some ideas for places to visit this Easter, gifts to drop hints for (or treat yourself to), ways to relax and things to watch. Did I miss any good Edens off the list? Let me know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
